Marketing Analytics

Marketing analytics are an important part of Internet marketing.
Are you aware of all the data that is being collected on the things that you do? Have you gone to a website and the ads on the page just appear to suit you perfectly? How do they do that? Simply put, when you visit a website they are putting data on your computer called cookies, which tracks your surfing on the Internet. They then “serve” you relevant ads in hopes that you will be more likely to buy something.

Why Should You Use Marketing Statistics?

Have you noticed at the end of a commercial and they show their website and there are some numbers at the end of the dotcom? It is also common to show a phone number with a call code and they ask you to tell them the numbers of the code when you call. What is this for? I am sure they can do a number of things with the data but primarily they want to know what time of day they are getting the most sales. This will help them buy the most profitable airtime in the future.

It is all about taking your marketing dollars and getting the most for each dollar. The way you do this is with tracking ids that go at the end of the website address. You can put “fb” at the end of a link that you use on Facebook and put “yt” at the end of links that you put in a YouTube description. Then you will be able to check your marketing analytics and you will know how many clicks you received and follow that through to opt-ins.

For example, if you had $100 a week to use for advertising you would be able to determine which marketing option gives you the most benefit for your marketing budget.

Know what your advertising dollars are doing for you and make the most of each penny with marketing analytics!
